Jaime A. Alvarez, Jr.
Jaime A. Alvarez, Jr. is a civil trial lawyer representing victims of medical malpractice and serious personal injury throughout the State of Florida. Prior to joining Freidin Brown, P.A., Jaime was the Chair of the Medical Malpractice Group at a prominent malpractice defense firm in Miami, where he represented doctors in civil lawsuits and disciplinary proceedings.
On the defense side, Jaime was intimately familiar with the strategies and approaches taken by defendant doctors and their insurance companies in litigation. Now, Jaime uses his unique perspective as a former malpractice defense attorney to represent plaintiffs in medical malpractice and personal injury lawsuits, such as cases involving birth injuries, quadriplegia, stroke, other catastrophic or life-changing injuries.
Jaime graduated in the top five of all English majors from Florida International University, and in 2009 graduated cum laude from the Florida State College of Law. He is a SuperLawyer’s Rising Star, and prior to becoming a plaintiff’s lawyer he was named a Top 100 Civil Defense Litigator for Florida.
Jaime was born in Tenerife, Spain but moved to the United States at a young age. He’s lived in Miami since age 10, and graduated high school from Palmer Trinity School in 2001. Jaime speaks Spanish, but jokes that his accent needs some work.
