Our Story
What would eventually become Freidin Brown, P.A. was founded in 1976 by Philip Freidin, a 31-year-old lawyer who took a risk opening his own firm just a few years after graduating law school. Since then, Phil has devoted his entire life to representing clients who have been seriously injured by the wrongful acts of others. Phil has represented plaintiffs in some of the most significant personal injury and medical malpractice cases in Florida’s history, and his stature in the community has been recognized by governors, senators, Supreme Court justices, and—perhaps most importantly—his fellow trial lawyers.
But Phil’s success in the Florida legal community is not only found in the results obtained for his clients. His success is also found in his reputation for honesty, integrity, and his unique way of approaching legal conflicts with kindness and compromise—a way of practicing law that is followed by the entire team at Freidin Brown, P.A.
The Freidin Brown, P.A. legal team consists of a small group of selectively chosen attorneys, as well as attorney Joel H. Brown, a childhood friend of Phil’s who joined the firm when he retired from serving as the Chief Judge of the Miami-Dade County Circuit Court. Combined with the younger lawyers on the firm’s roster, our team has over a century of experience representing clients against large insurance companies.
